The Duomo

Completed in the 17th century, Verona’s main church to this day still boasts its original main doors and portal, stunningly decorated with low reliefs in the Lombard Romanesque style. In the Cappella Nichesola chapel visitors can find Titian’s famous masterpiece, the Assumption of the Virgin – the cathedral’s precious treasure. A walk to the river behind the Duomo reveals more historic monument and building - Ponte della Pietra bridge and Torre di Alberto della Scala tower.
