Cattedrale Di San Giovanni Battista
Better known as the Duomo, this pure Renaissance building was built between 1491 and 1498. The famous Cappella dell Sacra Sindone (the chapel of the Holy Shroud), where the controversial Sacra Sindone (Shroud of Turin) is enshrined and exposed to believers every jubilee year, was added in the 17th century. The shroud, said to have once been wrapped around the body of Jesus, is definitely the biggest attraction to this otherwise uninteresting church.
