Basilica Di Superga

In 1706, Princes Vittorio Amedeo II commissioned Sicilian architect Juvarra to build this baroque basilica as thanksgiving to the Holy Mother of Graces for the deliverance of Turin from the French siege. The tall dome dominates the exterior and visitors can climb to it to get a gorgeous view of the Juvarra bell tower and a panoramic view of the city and the Piemontese Mountains. Beneath the dome is a vast circular chamber with six side chapels.
