National Library Of Austria

According to various sources, the National Library of Austria ranks amongst the oldest ones in the world. Although this claim may be disputed, the opulence of the building certainly is not. The beautiful structure was planned by well-known Joseph Fischer of Erlach and the main reading room is considered one of the finest in Europe. It is home to more than 6 million works ranging from a unique papyrus collection to books, photographs and various other items.
