Beethoven In Vienna
Ludwig van Beethoven used to live in Vienna.
If you walk around in the 19th district of Vienna you can see numerous plaques on houses that indicate that Ludwig van Beethoven used to live there. In 1817, he started his work on the 9th symphony in a house on the Pfarrplatz.
Today, this building houses a heuriger, the Mayer am Pfarrplatz. A plaque reminds visitors of the important guest that used to live at this place.
