| My wife and I had the chance to visit the Borghese Museum during late May in 2008. I have visited quite a number of art galleries in Europe but have never seen anything as wonderful and devastating like the Borghese. The art works of the great master Raphael in the gallery and you will find a sculpture of Bernini in every corner, not to speak of the Caravaggio paintings that spatter the walls. The intensity and the diversity of the museum is unparalleled and I will definitely rank the Borghese as the best after the Vatican and the Louvre. The only drawback is the short time slot that you are allowed during the visit and wish I could have spent a whole day there. My sincere advice will be to take a trip to Rome and be sure to visit the Borghese and I hope that you will appreciate it as much as we did. |
