| My visit to the Borghese Museum was not as fantastic or interesting as I had looked forward to. In spite of being a great admirer of Bernini’s sculptures the Borghese simply failed to impress me. But I did have the benefit of staying away from the commotion that I experienced in the Coliseum and the Roman Forum. The painting Studio on the upper floor was strange and fascinating but the segment for sculptures on the level below was far too hyped and did not amaze me like the Capitoline Museum, which I felt was nearer to the other main attractions in Rome. But let me be very frank and say that maybe I expected too much from the Borghese and was disappointed. |
