The Borghese Gallery is one of the most under estimated places of attractions of Rome. It does not seem to get the honor it so deserves. The museum is amazing, though it is comparatively much smaller than the Vatican Museum and you feel much more at home in it. And the works of art are something that you can understand. More over the visitors at the Borghese are nicer than the maddening crowd in the Vatican and Bernini’s sculptures are incredible. In fact we may have not gone to see this place and I can’t tell you how happy I was that we visited the Borghese Museum. The whole village is so very different from the other places in Rome, so soothing and calm and full of trees and greenery that one feels that he has walked into a garden after being cuddled up in the Times Square. This is just the right ending to a wonderful holiday in Rome.
