Are there any raves on Phuket?

Phuket is not only a wonderful travel destination but its also somewhat of a party island but unfortunately the rave scene is not really big on this Thai island. If you like to rave then the place for you to be is definitely Koh Phangan island which is home to the world famous full moon parties as well as the half moon and black moon parties.

Some well known techno and trance DJ's do perform from time to time on Phuket however that it mainly at one of the large discos in Patong Beach. I don't consider those parties to be a rave.

There have been recent efforts to start full moon parties in Phuket as well and I have been to one or two of these Phuket full moon parties and that is the closest thing to a rave which Phuket has on offer. Unfortunately there were never that many ravers at these parties which kind of takes away some of the fun.
