What are the swimming conditions in Surin beach?

At times the swimming conditions in Surin beach in Phuket can be great whilst at other times it can be rather dangerous. Basically during the dry season which is during the Phuket tourist high season from November until April swimming conditions are normally ok for swimming. However during the raining season from May until October there are some fair sized waves and currents which can lead to problems if it involves not so strong swimmers.

There are lifeguards on duty at Surin beach but I am not sure how well equipped they are and what type of training they have received. So please try to stay close to the beach when swimming so as to avoid any dangerous situations.
