This is a topic where most people I believe have the wrong information. Some people seem to think that legal age is 15 in Thailand and others 16, 17 or even younger. However there are actually various Thai laws which are made about the legal age of consent and generally the accepted age is 18. If the girl or boy is under 18 but above 15 and no complaint is filled by either parents or the child in question then no legal action will be taken by the police or the prosecutors office. If the child is under 15 then this will be a very major offense.
